Chew Fu is a Brooklyn-based producer, musician, and remixer. His distinctive production style features a fusion of electro-house and hip hop with heavy musical roots.
Chew Fu has produced/remixed for over 300+ artists, including industry staples such as Mariah Carey, Kelly Rowland, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Robyn, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Timbaland, Rapper’s Delight (f/k/a Sugar Hill Gang), Doug E. Fresh, Dan Balan, Greg Nice, Far East Movement, and many more. Some of his most notable collaborations include: the single “Take That” by Chew Fu & Wiley (Island UK), Rihanna’s Rated R: Remixed (Island/Def Jam), for which he was the album’s sole producer, and the production of Lady Gaga’s “LoveGame” with Marilyn Manson- a version performed live on The Monster Ball tour.
Chew Fu has also appeared as a guest judge and talent-coach on Simon Cowell’s XFactor, in an episode entitled “ChewFu Rock DJ.”
Originally from Amsterdam, Chew Fu has held DJ residencies worldwide. His sets exclusively feature original productions. Some of his more recent venues include Rain Las Vegas, Chinese Laundry in Sydney, and The Butter Factory in Singapore, and has created original promotional campaigns for Bentley Motors China as well as Miller Beer International.
Chew Fu holds his Masters in Alto Saxophone from Utrecht Conservatory, and his accomplishments in live-Jazz music compile a completely separate and total body of work (available upon request.)
Chew Fu’s music also appears in the upcoming feature film entitled “KILL ME THREE TIMES” starring Simon Pegg, wherein he serves as Song Supervisor for the movie.
He is a Billboard-charting artist/remixer and a recent IDMA (International Dance Music Award ) nominee.
